Leon Confed Farmers Dairy Association, a community group in Brgy. Talacuan, Leon, Iloilo, inaugurates its Milk Processing Facility aimed to support their milk production enterprise.
The project is in collaboration with various national government agencies who provided capital funds and technical assistance for the establishment of the facility. Among the organizations were the Philippine Carabao Center, the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program, the DSWD Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Program, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Philippine Coconut Authority, and Tatay sa Kauswagan Inc.
The Sustainable Livelihood Program provided a total of ₱238,500.00 as an additional capital fund for the milk processing facility.
Present in the ceremonial event were 2nd District of Iloilo Board Member Rolito Cajilig, representatives of partner agencies and institutions, local Department heads of Leon, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Leah Zaragosa, DSWD Promotive Services Division Chief Luna S. Moscoso, SLP Government Sector Partnership Officer Audrey Marie Cagayao, SLP Project Development Officers Mary Jane Alsusua and Suzette Aparicio.
