The Department of Social Welfare and Development has released PHP463,500,000 to beneficiaries of the Cash-for-Work Program for Persons with Disabilities in Mina, Iloilo.
The amount covers the daily wages of 103 workers from the different barangays of the municipality. The cash for work program dubbed as Buhay at Bayanihan para sa Mamamayan (BBM), Cash for Work Program for Persons with Disabilities handog ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is designed to provide temporary jobs to Persons with Disabilities in exchange for community works.
The Buhay at Bayanihan para sa Mamamayan (BBM), Cash for Work Program for Persons with Disabilities is implemented thru KALAHI-CIDSS (Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services).
Each worker received PHP450 daily wages for 10 days for doing communal gardening in the different barangays of the town. The CFW-PWD is implemented in 133 areas including cities and municipalities in Western Visayas.
