DSWD6 LISTAHANAN now accepts complaints re: List of poor names
Since the initial lists of poor households have been posted in conspicuous places in all barangays in the region, DSWD6 Listahanan has also started accepting complaints and appeals of the public in Western Visayas.
“This is part of the Validation and Finalization Phase of the Listahanan 3 implementation, in which the public has the chance to review, appeal or correct the information in the list of poor from the data collected recently,” said Regional Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre of DSWD Field Office VI.
The Listahanan or the National Household Targeting System for poverty reduction is a data management system that identifies who and where the poor are in the country.
“Our Listahanan Area Supervisors with the help of our local officials have set schedule in accepting queries and complaints in every barangay,” said Director Macapobre.
“To those who want to complain, appeal and make corrections on the said list, they have to check the schedule of accepting grievances thru their barangay officials and our Listahan Area Supervisors,” she said.
The public can complain the following:
1. Those who are poor but not interviewed
2. Those who are poor and interviewed but not in the initial list
3. Those who are not poor but are included in the initial list
4. Those who believe they are not poor but are included in
the initial list.
5. Those in the initial list of poor households but with incorrect
information in the database such as name, sex, street address, barangay address, date of birth, marital status, and additional/ deletion of roster members).
6. Those who changed residence.
Director Macapobre also reiterated that the initial list of poor posted in every barangay is NOT a payroll nor a list of beneficiaries of different programs of DSWD such as Unconditional Cash Transfer and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
Listahanan is the basis in identifying potential beneficiaries of different poverty alleviation programs of the government. This does not, however, guarantee that everyone in the list will be qualified as beneficiary of poverty alleviation programs of the government.
“Those who are in the Listahanan database do not automatically receive aid or become beneficiaries in poverty alleviation programs due to the qualifications and guidelines set by the different programs of the government,” she added./dswd6
