EARLIER TODAY, the 91st Malasakit Center was opened in Antique Province, opening doors for a more comprehensive response to the medical needs of the people.
Asec. Jade Jamolod from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, during the launch at Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose town, distributed financial assistance amounting to P408,000 under DSWD’s Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS). One patient was provided with a wheelchair.
“We reached out to the patients who needed us the most. While doing this, we ensured observance of health protocols,” said Asec. Jamolod.
Aside from this, a total of 344 market vendors were given financial assistance with a total amount of P1,032,000.
Mr. Joselito Estember, head of the Crisis Intervention Section, joined Asec. Jamolod during the activity.
