Kalahi-CIDSS has opened opportunities for women at Barangay Cadabdad, Tubungan, Iloilo to engage in paid labor, a previously male-dominated area.

In the COVID-19 response projects of Cadabdab, four women were hired to do the painting works of 177 handwashing facilities and canopies.

They became more empowered through their participation in the construction of Kalahi-CIDSS funded projects.

Engagement in paid labor not only allowed women to earn income, but they also were able to actively participate in community development.
