The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI provided aid to wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The assistance was released on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, by DSWD Extension Office in Negros Occidental.
Four solders, all wounded in action, from the 15th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army received P10,000 each for their medical needs.
These officers got wounded during the encounter that happened in Cauayan early this year.
The assistance, under the Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situation, is a service of the agency for persons and families in crisis situation. Under which, medical, burial, transportation and educational assistance is extended.
This move is also in adherence of the department’s commitment to the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) of the government which recognizes the dedication and service to the nation of our military and police personnel who are wounded and killed in the line of duty.
