ILOILO City — Thirty-five staff from the different provincial operation offices of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) underwent two-day writeshop on good practice documentation.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Social Marketing Unit (SMU) has initiated the writeshop starting Thursday that aims to equip the staff with documentation skills so that they could gather innovative practices from the ground.
Three resource persons from the internal staff, academe and media were invited to share their expertise and discuss the following topics such as The Importance of Documenting Good Practices, The DSWD Good Practice Documentation Guide, Tips on Good Practice Documentation and Critiquing Session of Good Practices from the Field.
Evangeline Felecio, Asst. Regional Director for Administration (ARDA) said these good practices may be replicated by other Local Government Units (LGUs) or other agencies that could be beneficial to other target audience or people they are serving.
Felecio believes that there are lots of good practices from the field that left undocumented because some of the staff were not equip with proper trainings on writing and documenting.
She added that through this writeshop, this will improve the documentation skills of the staff adding that after the writeshop, she is expecting more outputs to be submitted by the field staff from all over the region.//dswd/Montesa G. Caoyonan
