The Department of Social Welfare and Development 6 (DSWD-6) mulls on offering ‘free’ review classes to non-eligible staff nationwide.

This was confirmed by no less than Assistant Secretary for Western Visayas Hope Hervilla during a press conference held at the DSWD-6 Compound, Molo, Iloilo City recently.

Hervilla said the review classes will start soon as this is one of the targets of the Duterte administration to fill-in all vacant regular positions within the Department.

“This will be given to them for free. Our staff need not to worry on the expenses,” she said.

Hervilla said this is also in one way to regularize DSWD employees so that they are more inspired to serve the disadvantaged, vulnerable and abused clients.

“We want our staff to happily serve our clients and pay off their hard work since we know that most of our staff are rendering services beyond eight hours,” she said.DSC_0479
