The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is eyeing a paperless transaction in monitoring the Compliance Verification System (CVS) of the Pantawid Pamilya student beneficiaries.
This was confirmed by no less than DSWD Sec. Corazon “Dinky” Soliman during her regular consultation activity with more than 500 Parent Leaders in Banga, Aklan recently.
As proposed, Soliman said teachers will be given laptops or cellphones to easily encode and update the attendance of studentsthat are enrolled inboth elementary and high school.
She added the updated attendance will be directly sent by teachers using their gadgets to central data base.
“This is to fast track the delivery of services to our beneficiaries,” she said.
Pantawid Pamilya is a human development measure of the national government under the DSWD that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.
Recipients must comply with program conditions as verified through the CVS to receive cash.
On a bimonthly basis, City and Municipal Links distribute CVS forms to schools and health facilities where recipient children and mothers are enrolled and registered with the program.
School teachers and health facilities identify only those recipients who have not complied with program conditionalities.
Municipal and City Links collect these forms and enter the data at the regional level before electronically transmitting them to the national office where recipients’ conditionalities are linked with the payment system.//dswd//Montesa G. Caoyonan
