Escalante City’s entry “Indigency Program” was able to implement a social protection program that provides direct service to the Listahanan-identified poor, such as scholarships, medical assistance and skills and livelihood trainings.
They were able to use the Listahanan as the basis of their beneficiary identification in the implementation of their locally-funded Indigency Program to serve the poorest of the poor.
Representatives of Escalante will be going to DSWD Batasan Complex on January 29, 2015 for the 1st Gawad Listahanan final awarding and announcement of winners, during the celebration of the Department’s 64th Anniversary.
