SECRETARY Corazon “Dinky” Soliman of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) observed the conduct of the Family Development Session (FDS) with beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program during her visit in Antique province recently.

The FDS is a monthly assembly of parent-beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya where topics on effective parenting, home management, husband-wife relationship, child development, and disaster preparedness among others, are discussed.

During the Secretary’s visit, 15 couples who are all beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya from Barangays Liya-Liya and Omlot, Laua-an were attending the session on “Pagtataguyod ng Pagkakapantay na mga Karapatan ng Babae at Lalaki” (gender equality). The session, held at Brgy. Liya Liya Day Care Center, was handled by Barbara Mendoza, Municipal Link of Pantawid Pamilya. (DSWD6/Alma Jornadal-Estember)
