Mark Laran, 21, a registered nurse, and resident of Oton, Iloilo shares his experiences as an adopted child during the “Adoption and Foster Care Forum” held last week. Mark had difficulty processing his papers for abroad because he was a case of simulated birth. But that was already corrected and he is now preparing to join his adoptive mother in the United States. Mark advised parents to opt for legal adoption to avoid possible problems in the future.
