Many of the Pantawid Pamilya members are still trying to recover from the effects of super typhoon Yolanda. As of December 2013, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD6) reported that there were 133,629 partially and totally damaged houses in Capiz, including both members and non-members of the conditional cash transfer program.
The prompt release of cash grants, according to the CCT members, was helpful in purchasing the needs of their children after losing their school supplies and clothing. The subsidy could also be used in repairing their ruined houses. (DSWD)
