ILONGGOS show their concern to victims of super typhoon Yolanda through their donations of goods and used clothing through the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD6).

Diwata Carmona of DSWD6 said that as of 1:00pm of November 11, the Department has recorded more than P30,000 monetized value of dry goods such as sardines and noodles; bottled mineral water; medicines for high blood, anti-asthma, antibiotics and anti-allergy; and used clothing.

Carmona said most of the donors were private individuals.

“There were even two children who came here to donate their shoes,” she said.

The DSWD6 is open for donations, either cash or in-kind, for victims of typhoon Yolanda. Donations are accepted at the DSWD Regional Office in Molo, Iloilo City. (DSWD6/ Alma Jornadal-Estember)
