The table of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI was among the most visited during the Development Expo facilitated by the Department of Interior and Local Government as part of the recent celebration of the 22nd Local Government Code Anniversary at the Hotel del Rio in Iloilo City.

Local chief executives, employees and officials of the national government agencies and other participants to the Expo are most interested in DSWD programs like the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), Sustainable Livelihood Program and Social Pension Program, which are all being implemented in partnership with the local government units.

Director Evelyn Trompeta of the DILG VI said the Expo is one of their ways in making the participants more familiar with the services of the national government agencies. /dswd6
