on External Egg Suppliers
Agambulong 4Ps SLP Association, organized and funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSWD-SLP), is engaged in an egg production project, and has contributed in reducing the dependency of local consumers in Jamindan on buying eggs from external suppliers.
The association, which started its operation in Brgy. Agambulong, Jamindan, Capiz in January 2025, harvests a minimum of 10 trays per day. They supply a significant number of households in the barangay and its neighboring areas. Also, they deliver to some retail outlets, eateries, and bakeries in the town proper.
According to Municipal Mayor Mac Artur Valdemar, the association has helped boost the local egg production, stabilize the egg supply in the locality, and addressed the challenges of sourcing eggs from suppliers outside the municipality.
Aside from bridging the supply gap, the association also aims at providing sustainable economic opportunities for its members. The association is composed of 28 active 4Ps beneficiaries and was granted a Php560,000 seed capital fund for the establishment of their egg production project./NAGEbojo/ Janelyn Verdeflor
