DSWD Field Office VI distributes 342 Family Food Packs to affected families in Aklan.After the turnover to the Municipality of Ibajay of goods, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Ellen S. Masangcay leads the distribution of the packs to the affected families in seven barangays of the locality.

The recipients include the stranded students at the Aklan State University (ASU) located at Brgy. Colong Colong, Ibajay Campus. Most of the students are from Antique.Southwest monsoon intensified by typhoon Ferdie caused heavy rains with strong winds sine Saturday.
