Ongoing: DSWD FO VI distributes food and non-food assistance to 120 families affected by the Oil Spill Incident in Brgy. Bo. Obrero, Lapuz, Iloilo City.
The families consisting of 421 individuals are currently staying at Bo. Obrero Elementary School to avoid the toxicity of air after the barge explosion which resulted to the spillage of nearly 48,000 liters of oil over Iloilo Strait last July 3, 2020.
DSWD FO VI distributed a total of 120 Family Food Packs, 120 hygiene kits, and 120 comforters to the affected.
Technical assistance was also provided to the Iloilo City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and Bo. Obrero barangay officials for Camp Coordination and Camp Management to organize operations in the evacuation center.#dswd6
