AROUND 100 beneficiaries coming from different programs of DSWD have availed of SM Foundation’s training program for farmers.
The program, called Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan, was launched early today through an Orientation for beneficiaries held in Brgy. Balcon Maravilla, Jordan, Guimaras.
The beneficiaries are a mix of those receiving assistance from Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, two of the agency’s flagship programs.
Evelyn B. Macapobre of DSWD Field Office VI.
Aside from the beneficiaries of DSWD, SM Foundation also tapped the locality of Jordan for the selection of the beneficiaries.
“This will be a 12-days training.
She also assured the residents of Guimaras that the agency is complementing efforts along livelihood provision for Guimaras.
The training is a program on backyard planting and small-scale farming in urban and rural areas nationwide.
