The Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC) Region VI bagged awards on Monday night, May 20, 2019, at the Manila Prince Hotel.

Among the awards received were:

Best Support Staff – Percival Agsam
Best Technical Staff – Katherine Joy Lamprea
Most QMS Compliant – RJJWC Region VI Secretariat
People’s Choice Award -Percival Agsam

The awarding was ceremony was done during the Juvenile Justice Welfare Committee Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) and LOYALTY Award’s Night.

The RJJWC Region VI was created pursuant to Republic Act No. 10630 or An Act Strengthening the Juvenile Justice System in the Philippines, Amending for the Purpose Republic Act No. 9344, Otherwise Known as the “Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006 ’’

It is envisioned to lead a society that promotes and protects the rights of children at risk and children in conflict with the law under a restorative justice and welfare system.

Its goals include to prevent children at risk (CAR) from committing crimes and to ensure that children in conflict with the law (CICL) are rehabilitated and reintegrated with their families and communities and to strengthen institutional partnerships in pursuing collectively and effectively the Council’s mission. /dswd6
