Secretary Dinky Soliman disclosed that the agency is mulling for the raise of cash grants being released to beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, the government of the Philippine’s version of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).
“Sa ngayon, pinag-aaralan ang posibleng pagtaas ng cash grants sa elementary at sa high school, ” Soliman said in a dialogue with beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and KapitBisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi –CIDSS) in Cabatuan, Iloilo on Wednesday (March 30).
A Simultaneous Community Focus Group discussion (FGD) of Pantawid Pamilya Parent leaders Community Volunteers and the DSWD staff was held prior to the said event.
Representatives from different programs were able to present the FGD outputs such was the Pantawid Parent leader Flordeliza Duero, 51 years old, telling the Secretary in a dialogue how the program has helped her improve her self-confidence and taught her to dream big for the future of her children.
The highlight of the said event was the message and the response of the secretary to the presented outputs of the Pantawid beneficiaries and KC Volunteers./MerryJezzelLBrendia
