The DSWD6 held yesterday the Search for Exemplary Pantawid Pamilya children in the regional level.
Eight participants who are winners from their respective provinces including two Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) of Iloilo and Bacolod joined the search in Iloilo City.
“This time, we are reaping the gains of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. We now see how we have contributed to the well-being of children beneficiaries,” said Jonathan Anteza, Regional Program Coordinator.
The competition is open to Pantawid Pamilya children beneficiaries whose age is from 10 to 14 by September 2015.
Also, the children must be enrolled in school, compliant to the school attendance requirement of the program – must have at least 90% school attendance from School Year (SY) 2013-2014, with good scholastic standing – no grades below the passing mark, non-repeater, fully-immunized and dewormed twice in 2014 (for children 6-14 years old).
The children must possess the following qualities/characteristics such as active in extra-curricular activities, e.g., contests, quiz bees, production of school paper, school organization activities, and the likes; active in community activities, e.g., Sangguniang Kabataan, community/ church chorale, student catechism, and the likes; talented, i.e., has awards/recognition in competitions in singing, dancing, sports, essay writing, poster making, arts, and the likes; with good moral character; have no indicator of behavior problems; aware of good nutrition and eats nutritious food; conversant on the conditionalities of the program and able to advocate the thrusts of Kaya Ko! Campaign.
Participants were adjudged based on their behavior and practice, talent, intelligence and smartness, community and school participation and presence and appearance./dswd6/Montesa Grino-Caoyonan
