VALDERRAMA, Antique-Around 1,653 beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program gathered early today at the Municipal Gymnasium of Valderrama, Antique to express their voices on how the program has positively changed their lives.
“Our beneficiaries are our living testimonies that the program has made positive changes in the lives of our beneficiaries particularly in sending them to school and ensuring that they are healthy,” said Jonathan Anteza, Regional Program Coordinator of Pantawid Pamilya.
The activity, dubbed “The Voice of the People,” is a one-day affair that includes caravan of services from other partner-implementers showcasing their products, services and programs.
Anteza said the activity gave way for beneficiaries to share their own stories especially on how the program helped them in uplifting their lives, how the Family Development Session (FDS) changed their bad behavior, point of view and personality, and how they religiously followed the conditions set by the program to continue the education of their children and be healthy.
He also said the activity was one way of getting closer to the people as well as of bringing them closer to the services offered by partner-implementers such as Department of Agriculture, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Health, Department of Education, Philhealth, TESDA, Department of Labor and Employment, Commission on Population, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and Philippines Association of Medical Technologists, among others./dswd6/Montesa Caoyonan
