WESTERN Visayas will be receiving a P309.4 million fund for the Supplementary Feeding of children.
The amount will be disbursed by DSWD for the different provinces to provide complete meals to children in day care centers.
If broken down, Negros Occidental will get P119.8 million; Iloilo, P97.7 million; Antique, P33.8 million; Capiz, P28.8 million; Aklan, P21.8 million; and Guimaras, P7.2 million.
A total of 198,360 children will benefit from the program.
“Through the program, we will be able to help curb hunger,” said Sally Gayoma, DSWD nutritionist.
