ILOILO City-The DSWD Field Office VI convened this afternoon its Quick Response Team (DRT), along with its workforce, in preparation for the impending typhoon internationally named “Hagupit.”
Presided by regional director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre, along with Protective Services Unit head Rosario Sanagustin, all committees involving mobilization of volunteers, data processing and reporting, logistics and transportation, relief supplies and information management were activated.
Per DSWD records, the agency has P9 million standby funds. Aside from this, the office has 34,509 family packs in its stockpile and has prepositioned goods in the provinces of Antique, Aklan, Capiz, and Negros Occidental./dswd6/May Rago-Castillo
