ILOILO CITY– Two women from the province of Antique proved that they too can excel nationally.
The stories of Gloria Juayang, of Barangay Aningalan, and Rosemarie dela Rama, of Barangay Tubudan, both in San Remigio, Antique impressed the judges that made them as top winners for the Individual Enterprise category of the Sustainable Livelihood Program’s National Awards.
Meanwhile the Local Government Unit of Valderrama, Antique represented by Hon. Mary Joyce M. Roquero was also chosen to be in the top five finalists in the LGU Category.
Participants across the Philippine archipelago gathered today (November 28) in Privato Hotel, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City for the “Bangon Kabuhayan: Philippine Business for Inclusive Growth Through Harnessing Sustainable Livelihoods,” wherein the winners for the awards were announced in the later part of the activity.
The Awards aims to showcase the success of the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries through the implementation of the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood program from individual enterprise, group enterprise, local government units and other stakeholders involved in the program implementation.
The top five finalists presented their innovative ideas, impact in the lives of the people and inspiration breakthrough in harnessing their business and implementation of livelihood programs in their respective areas during the ‘Bangon Kabuhayan’ national gathering.
