JUDGES for the 2014 Search for Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya scrutinize the documentary evidence of provincial entries from Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental during the regional deliberation held on July 23, 2014 at the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI.
This annual search aims to recognize families covered by Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program who religiously follow the program’s conditionalities; maintain strong ties and upholds Filipino values despite the challenges that poverty causes or brings; actively involved in community affairs; and continuously strive to improve their living condition.
This year’s finalists include the Sartiga family of Balete, Aklan; Fillone family of Sibalom, Antique; Pelayo family of Jamindan, Capiz; Gamarcha family of Sibunag, Guimaras; Tanutan family of Lemery, Iloilo; and Paragsa family of Bacolod City.
The regional winners will be awarded in September 2014 in time for the Family Week celebration.
