ILOILO City—The Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corporation recently turned over four units of motorcycles in donations for the Department of Social Welfare and Development and 3 Local Government Units in Western Visayas.
“You are going out of your way to uplift the conditions of disaster victims. We see that for you, this is more of a vocation. For our part, this is our humble way of helping. We are able to partner with you in your work and the motorcycles are token of our partnership. We hope that the motorcycles would ably assist in the mobility during your operations,” said Hitoshi Inoue, Chairman of the Board and President of Kawasaki Philippines.
Donated were three CT 100 units and one KLX150 intended for the municipalities of Estancia and Passi in Iloilo Province; Roxas City in Capiz Province and one for DSWD Regional office.
The units were turned over in a simple ceremony at the DSWD compound attended by Assistant Regional Director for Administration Evangeline Felecio, Jobert Cornejo of Kawasaki, Kathy Delos Santos of Estancia and Adela Canones of Passi City.
“This is a one-of-its-kind donation since nobody has given us motorcycle so far. This will be very useful for us to reach far-flung barangays,” said Felecio./dswd6/May Castillo
