ILOILO City-Nearly 100 employees of DSWD Field Office VI joined the candle lighting ceremony calling for peace in Zamboanga on Tuesday at the agency compound in Molo district.
Led by Assistant Regional Director for Administration Evangeline B. Felecio, each worker held and lit a candle and offered silent prayers for peace and order in Zamboanga City and for the fast recovery of those who have been affected.
The activity was an answer to the call of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) for prayers for the conflict that brought paralysis to lives of Zamboanguenos and caused a halt to the everyday economy in the area./dswd6
