The Department of Social Welfare Field Office 6 recognized its adoptive families, licensed foster parents and inter-agency partners in the campaign to promote legal adoption through the Adoption Consciousness Celebration (ACC) held today.
As part of the yearly activity on advocacy for Alternative Family Care, the DSWD Field Office VI, through Adoption Resource and Referral Unit is spearheading the observance of Adoption Consciousness Celebration, with this year’s theme, “Pagmamahal Palaganapin, Legal na Pag-aampon Ating Gawin (Spread Unconditional Love Through Legal Adoption)”.
The DSWD FO6 shared the adoption and foster care journey of the Ilonggo families who have opened their homes and hearts to children who were orphaned, abandoned, neglected and surrendered.
DSWD FO6 acknowledges the unwavering support on the Alternative Family Care of the adoptive and licensed foster parents, Susan Mogato, Pastor Mark Cabag and wife, Reinalyn Cabag, and couple Luzviminda and Hannibal Berano, with their child, Hannah Louise Berano, Michaella Torreverda, couple Norberto and Bella Besana, and Romer and Julie Añover. The family’s notable contribution to the children’s lives placed under their care were commended during the activity.
Regional Director Ma. Evelyn Macapobre, in her virtual message, enjoined the public to put an end to illegal adoption. Macapobre also urged the public to continue spread, “unconditional love through legal adoption.”
